RAISIN PASCHA BREAD takes its name from the great feast of Easter- “Christ, our pasch was sacrificed for us and rose for us.” From ancient times the calendars early Christians, the first day of the week, Sunday, derived its name from the Resurrection. (In Russia: Voskresenije; Dominica in Latin) Our pascha loaf would be an ideal bread for Sundays. The traditional pascha is round. We offer the same rich bread in a smaller size of the customary rectangle. ~ 16 oz ~
